Valentine’s Cards for Friends that Know Your Stuff and Love You Anyway
Valentine Cards for Your Best Friends
Cards for Friends Who Know Your Stuff and Love You Anyway
It’s the night before the school Valentine’s Day party and I’m still up taping suckers to Unicorn Valentines that I tried to make look “manly” for the boys by drawing mustaches on the mythic horses in black marker. I’m hindered by the two fingers that I somehow managed to superglue together while trying to craft the Valentine box, and marveling at the outpouring of love that I’m trying to give my kids knowing that they hardly notice.
Because they’re kids.
They also don’t notice the clean laundry that magically appears in their drawers, or the nights that I stupidly play short-order cook when I forget to cook dinner and promise to whip up “whatever they want”…aka three separate meals.
I realize that it’s not their job to notice these gifts of love–not until they’re about 27 when they discover overnight how smart, amazing and talented you suddenly became.
But I digress….
In my Valentine’s stupor I realized that I had somehow managed to buy my husband the required Valentine’s Day Card, but I didn’t get a chance to thank my friends. The ladies that always have my back.
You know the friends of which I speak.
BTW, if you didn’t get your man a card, you can snag one of our free cards, “My Heart Soars When I’m With You,” or “My Heart Will Always Find You.” They’re available in our freebie library filled with free stuff just for our newsletter subscribers.
I can’t give you my awesome mustached unicorn tags, but you can get these sweet Valentine’s tags free in our freebie library.
They’ve bailed you out of car pools, kidnapped you for midnight 1/2 price appetizers at Applebees, and listened to all your whining and never thought less of you for it. They’re often the unsung heroes in my life. And I rarely take the time to let them know that I love them and that my life is infinitely better because of them.
So these Valentines are for my friends.
For Angela who bought herself a plane ticket to see me AND two tickets to the Kelly Clarkson concert because she knows I’ve had a rough year and I just plain need her. Plus, she knows that I secretly sing at full volume when I’m alone in the car while pretending that I’m having a very grown up conversation using some sort of hands free device. Thanks for all the late night drives to and from Vegas to catch concerts by up and coming acts I never heard of before–you’re so progressive!
For Kandra who never waits to be invited, lets my boys crash at her house regularly and turned me into one of those crazy middle aged Twilight Fans. Thanks for making me go to Barnes & Noble at midnight for the book launch parties and stand in line at movie theaters so we could be the first to “bite.”
For my girl crew in St George who supported my lame girl’s nights with gusto. Kaelyn, you always made my old Jaguar seem like a really cool car–even when it was breaking down and you never failed to drop in when you were back in town–I love that about you.
For Michelle who has pretty much adopted me and takes better care of me than my mom (and that’s saying something!) For my sisters, Nicole and Angie who were given to me because God knew that I would need them for my entire life.
You’ve got friends like this too. I know you do!
Look, you don’t have to use my cards to spread the love, but make sure you at least tell them once in a while how much you love them.
We’re running a heart stopping great deal. Download all four of these cards for $5.00 from our shop. They come with a personal use license and are yours to print as many times as you like, so you can give them to all your friends!
I would be a complete idiot if I didn’t thank all of you who show up every week to check out my latest thing and to cheer me on with your comments, and always pretend that a little crafting/decorating/whatever’s on my mind blog matters. You’re the best!
Girl power. You’re so good at sharing love that this world looks brighter every single day.
I’d love to hear something about your bestie in the comments. Tell me what’s so special about her.
