Light of Christ – Free Christmas Printable
The Beautiful Lights at Christmas Free Printable
Merry Christmas! My prayer is that your Christmas season is magical, filled with wonder and love. My wish is everyone be blessed by the laughter and excitement of children practically jumping out of their skin (not so) patiently waiting for Santa to arrive. That is my image of the perfect Christmas–and snow, but I live in Arizona so that’s unlikely. We all aspire to a perfect Christmas, but we are imperfect.
This printable is for everyone, but especially for those who are in a hard place–those who are looking forward to December 26th more than December 25th. It’s hard to face a holiday where it seems like everyone but you is surrounded by family and happiness. Everyone except you has the money to buy all the presents they want to buy. Everyone but you is in good health. Everyone but you….
The Christmas promise isn’t gifts and cookies and trees with lights. Max Lucado reminds us “The Christmas Promise is this: we have a Savior, and his name is Jesus. God has made a business of turning tragedy into triumph. He did it with Joseph, and with Moses, with Daniel, and, most of all, he did with Jesus on the cross.” So, if you’re having a difficult Christmas, I hope that you’ll take heart and remember why we have the tradition of gifts and lights–because Christ is our gift from God and he is the source of all light.
Thomas S. Monson has said, “To catch the real meaning of Christmas, we need only drop the last syllable and it becomes the spirit of Christ.” It’s been my experience that the light of Christ shines brightly during the darkest hours–we just have a difficult time seeing it. And so this is my Christmas wish–that we take the time to marvel in the beauty of this season as we are reminded that all Christmas traditions point back to Christ.
