7 Simple New Year’s Eve Party Projects
New Year’s Eve is the last chance to party before heading into the long nights of January winter. If you’re like me, you always put New Year’s Eve plans on the back burner. “Once I get through Christmas, then I’ll think about New Years,” has been my thought process for oh, 28 years or so.
If you’re like me then you need quick and easy New Years Eve party ideas STAT! I’ve put together some of my favorite ideas to help you put together a great get-together for New Year’s Eve.  These fun party ideas work for families or for grown-ups.
These are fun ideas made for the Cricut cutter, but I include ways to implement the ideas if you don’t have one.
FOR THE INVITATIONS
Option # 1:
Bow Wrapped Invitations: Wrap your invitations in sleek gold bows. Start by downloading our free printable Party Invitations available in our Freebie Library (if you haven’t already subscribed, you should!), and use the Cricut to wrap them in beautiful gold bows. If you’re going to wrap them with the bow, be sure to print out the 5×7 size.

What you’ll need:
Gold Glitter Cardstock
Black Cardstock
Option # 2:  We also provided a 2-to a page invitation download in the Freebie Library that makes it easy to print your invitations—no embellishments required.
Option #3:
You can design your own using PicMonkey. Take advantage of the free trial. I have the Premium subscription and I use it a ton! The software is intuitive and they offer tons of clipart, templates and fonts, making it super easy to design your own invitations.
Option # 4: Send digital invitations. Minted.com offers free online invitations emailed to your guests. They can RSVP directly from the email and you’ll be notified as they respond.
FOR THE DECORATIONS
Happy New Year Banner: I love this easy Happy New Year Banner Cricut Project. It’s a Print and cut, so it really couldn’t be easier. Click here or on the photo to view the project in Cricut Design Space.
What you’ll need:
8 ½”x11” White Cardstock
Silver Ribbon
If you don’t have a Cricut: Create a similar banner by cutting pendant shapes from the cardstock and writing the letters on the shapes using a thick black marker. Use silver ribbon to string the shapes together to form the Happy New Year banner.
FOR THE BUFFET TABLE
Oscar Party Bottle Tuxedo: This easy Cricut project dresses up bottles for the big night. Click here or on the photo to view the project in Cricut Design Space.
What You’ll Need:
Cricut Adhesive Foil in Dark Silver
Black Cardstock
Bottles (I like these personal sized Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider from the Dollar Store)
If you don’t have a Cricut: You can still make this project using the napkins, real buttons, and black ribbon for the bow tie.
Bowtie Glasses: Now that your bottles are dressed for the occasion, might as well fancy-up the glasses too. I love the cute bows on champagne flutes—perfect for New Year’s Eve!   Click here or on the photo to view the project in Cricut Design Space.
What you’ll need:
Gold Glitter Cardstock
Black Glitter Cardstock
If you don’t have a Cricut:   You can tie bows on the stem of the glasses using gold wire-edged ribbon.
Black and Gold Plates: Keeping with the traditional black and gold for New Year’s Eve, pair gold plastic chargers with black paper plates. This makes clean-up a breeze and gives your guests a sturdy plate help prevent spills while they’re mingling.
FOR THE PHOTO BOOTH
It just isn’t a party if you haven’t displayed the festivities on Instagram. Give your guests props for fun poses to document a great New Year’s Eve bash!
Gray Feather Masks:Â Â Add an air of mystery to the festivities with these masks. Click here or on the photo to view the project in Cricut Design Space.
